If your find that your hairbrush bristles are filled with strands of hair, it's time to give it a good clean. Brushes get buildup with different products you may be using, dead skin, and lots of loose hair. Not only do these make your brush look unsightly they may also be doing harm to your freshly washed hair. To get best performance from your brush be sure to clean it regularly (at least once a month).
1) Remove hair from brush using your fingertips to pull it out. You may use scissors to cut and pull hair out of a round brush.
2) Swirl brush in a bowl of warm water with a few drops of shampoo and rub with fingertips to ensure good, deep cleaning.
3) Wipe down handle to remove sticky products such a mouse or hairspray.
4) Rinse brush thoroughly.
5) Place brush on towel to dry.
